No doubt Lefka is the most impressive, colourful place in Cyprus.

Lefka is called Green Lefka, because in the city there are about 1,500 walnut trees, 2,000 date palms, strawberry fields, vineyards.
Lefka is a member of the international movement of the Slow City (Cittaslow). Each city-member of the organization Slow City should strive to comply with the 55 principles of the traffic, which are the basis of the new philosophy of urban life. In North Cyprus, members of the slow traffic are also the settlement of Yeni Bogazici (Famagusta), Mehmetchik settlement (Karpaz).

The remains of the first settlements in the Morphou area are related to antiquity.
The attention of tourists is attracted by the Archaeological Museum. The museum presents archaeological finds from the Neolithic period to the period of the Roman Empire.
The collection entitled Golden Salt Sheets deserves special attention.
In 2005, gold jewellery was found during the excavation of the burial site in the ancient city-state of Salt, the age of the jewellery is approximately 2500 years. In the burial place, gold bracelets, a diadem belonging to a girl of 15 years old, ritual masks were also found.
a statue of the mother of the goddess Artemis, a symbol of fertility and abundance presented in the museum's collection, dates back to the 2nd century AD. It was accidentally found by a tourist in the sea near the ancient city of Salamis (near the city of Famagusta).
Near the museum is the church of St. Mamaca, which houses a museum of icons.
In the city of Morphou, a monastery in honour of the saint was built in the 18th century. It is in this temple in the marble sarcophagus that the remains of Mamas are kept. People believe that balm, coming from the holes in this sarcophagus, helps with eye and ear diseases.
Mamas and is considered the patron saint of animals, and also, funny, non-payers of taxes.
Soli is an ancient port city in the western part of the northern coast of the island of Cyprus. Ruins of the city are in the vicinity of Lefka.
During the tour, you can see one of the first basilicas of Cyprus, dating back to the 4th century and admire the mosaics of the 6th century.
